Live concert broadcast with the Savaria Symphony Orchestra

01/12/2017

Commemorating Zoltán Kodály’s 50th death anniversary, the Savaria Symphony Orchestra dedicates tonight’s concert to the oeuvre of Hungary’s great composer, educator and musical genius. For the first time in our history, the performance will be broadcast live on Youtube, and can be watched from 7 pm (CET) here! (After this date, the link remains active and one can watch the whole performance.)

Among the pieces featured in the programme, there are some of Kodály’s most popular works such as the Galánta Dances, the grand oratorio Psalmus Hungaricus or fragments from Háry János, but also includes a lesser-known masterpiece: his early symphonic poem called “Summer Evening”.
